Unfortunately, the LFS guy informed me those snails are illegal in Texas.
He put them in the freezer to kill them...

Man, that sucks. (Though I'm not surprised. The way they eat plants, they'd
be quite destructive if freed in the wild.)

Still, he could've at least let you send them back to the guy you got 'em from,
rather than just kill them.
