the koi will stir it up, and that is good. Each time it settles, it will
settle closer to the bottom drain and eventually find its way to the VF,
where the plant roots will help filter it out, make it settle where it is
easier to remove.

Rich, you have had piles of good suggestions on this thread, and I know you
are right. I am just impatient. I want to see the pond bottom. *laugh* 75%
of me says wait it out. 25% still wants to go buy some calcite.
