Default Sorry...more algae

Does it look like this? Go to the Mystery Algae "book"
http://community.webshots.com/user/dragnp

If so, it stops in about 6 weeks or so. The first time I got it was in
April: great big clumps would break off the liner, rise to the top during
the day, and sink back at night when the water cooled. This time (also in
April), it broke loose, but didn't really clump (until it got to the skimmer
box). My liner actually got all blotchy where it would break free . . . then
it slowed down, and just stopped. I had to clean my pre-filters 2X a day
during the height of the "bloom". Around here, the professionals say they
don't know "what" it is, but have seen it and "assumed" that it was part of
the algae's natural regeneration process (?????)

I wrote a week or so ago about my floating algae problem. Did as you all
instructed: water change, cleaned bio-filter, added bacteria. STILL, the
whole top of the pond has this floating algae. The warmer it gets, the

that floats. Please help. What can I do now??? Cathy P.S. would potash
help?
