Default [IBC] planting cypress

I have a small boulevard and hinoki cypress from the nursery.
Im planning
on planting them out at my dad's place down in chapel hill NC

this summer.
both of them are still in their pots and have not started any

new growth
yet. would it be ok to transplant them into the ground in

say... june??
and could i do some minor root pruning and spreading out at

this time??

Trees in nursery pots can be planted at just about any time.
You're not doing anything to the roots or the top, so nothing is
disturbed.
