That really is a beautiful photo, even if it IS of a tick!
A science teacher friend told me that the clutches of the hundreds of
infant ticks all glom together on vegetation, and when they smell the
carbon dioxide of a mammal coming, they go "EEEEEEEEEEEE" in tick
talk, to tell each other to get ready for FOOD!
