Oh, I don't find it too difficult .......I just pull it up before it
has much chance to set seed. I am usually left with one or two the
next year, but it is a bit like a very tall forget me not so I don't
mind too much

When we moved in our garden was full of alkanet. Pretty, but not what we
wanted. So up it all came... and it came back from root stock and seeds.
It's a continuous blight in my vegetable patch, every year there seem to be
more seedlings, and I've not let it set seed at that end of the garden in
four years.

I used to like the stuff, now I can barely look at it. Shame it's not
edible.
