That's quite a case of denial you have going there. What is wrong with
the evidence that buffalo destroy trees in their range, and that up to
130 years ago there were many millions of buffalo on the Great Plains?

And yes, much of the damage in the Sahara, the Middle east, indeed the
entire eastern Mediterranean was caused by goats, which also selectively
kill trees.
