Default leaping fish

get them to come to the top for food and eyeball them really well. koi with ich tend
to have red skin and the slime coat will be thick. that is, they wont be very
glossy. look for redness on the white koi and thick slime coat or a sprinkling of
"salt" on the black or dark fish. with flukes gill covers will be flared/stand out
away from the head rather than being pretty flat down. look for pumping of the gills
covers. at least add a bit of salt to the pond. keep a really close eye on water
quality including pH. Ingrid

Just as a guess, Id say the new pond is a tad colder than the older more
established (3y +) pond
I didnt think to take the temperature...how do i check for ich or flukes? The
little speedsters are tough enough to catch, never mind an exam :-)
