I've heard of this method for growing moss, though I haven't tried it
myself.
Acquire an amount of moss, place in a blender, add a little buttermilk and
grind it all up. Spread the mixture where you would like the moss to grow
and keep it damp. It is said that the moss will propagate from there and
flourish. If you try this, post back here later about your success.
