Can anyone help me source large plastic tanks for collecting water

We have two allotments on a site with no water supply and several

other
plot
holders have these, inherited from previous gardeners.
We are in Chelmsford, Essex.

I would keep your eye on skips, tips, and plumbers vans, for water tanks/
old baths which have been removed during renovations. This saves you paying
for it and saves the plumber or whoever from paying to tip it. Most people
I've found are only too happy to let you have their junk if you mention an
allotment. I've got all manner of stuff on mine which was scrounged from
skips etc. Best to ask first though just in case. Someone said that
technically anything which has been thrown in a skip belongs to the skip
hire company, but I can't see them kicking up much of a fuss, especially
given landfill charges.
