This is a really bad photo but if you go to the bottom its a bit clearer.
It
has an unusual smell when the leaves are crushed. Its about 2 ft and it
wasn't
there lastyear.

this looks like feverfew - it has pretty daisy like flowers - some people
call them weeds but I really like them and have planted lots - it is easy to
grow and looks pretty for ages. If you cut it back in autumn when it dies
down it will come back next year. Sometimes if you cut the flowers off after
the flower dies it will reflower.
