I recently wondered the same thing. I do spray the perimeter of the house
2-3 x a summer with pesticide an Ortho product for ants and termites, seems
to work.


The downfall of this type of prevention is that you may
be stopping in the obvious area outside but could be
pushing them to the bath traps or slab cracks (slab
home), or up the interior wall of the foundation
(pier/beam home)
