The hyacinths did well the last two years in the koi pond, so either they
just developed a taste for them this year, or it's the lousy weather. In
either case, I plan to do the same as you by keeping the new ones both in
the veggie filter and in the new turtle pond and rotate them into the koi
pond for a few days at a time. Thanks.

They will never do well in a koi pond. The koi eat the roots. I grow
mine out
in the goldfish pond or veg. filter then put them in the koi pond for a
week
