Default Habits of Sombreuil was Long grizzle ...

Sombreuil has been an underperformer for me (mainly due to the lack of

Ummm .. Sombreuil is touted as a rose that tolerates shade. Mine is
definitely in the afternoon shade, and I cannot say that it is
underperforming while it is busy building up a big root system as most
climbers are wont to do. How old is yours? Mine is just two years in the
ground, but I know what it looks like in the local Heritage Garden when
it is many years old (they have three of them there), so, I will be
patient. And yes, it can get pretty big (some eight feet wide and twelve
feet tall, or thereabouts, approximately) in full sun. Don't know if
shade will limit its size, not yet know I mean.
