Are the chokos sold in markets mature enough to plant?

G'day G'day Bill,

That's a good point. The ones I see have a single soft white seed.

When growing bitter melon I had to wait till one slipped through that
had orange with dark seeds inside.

Does anyone know what a mature choko seed looks like?

Best wishes,
