Following up to Kathleen Roberts

I tried for two years to grow them from seed and they did OK until they were
about a foot tall, then became infested with blackfly (which did not appear
on any neighbouring plants). I love the small ones and can't get them any
other way...sob.

Funny, all my blackfly are on the broad beans.
