Have you ever wanted to grow deciduous trees from seed? Maybe you have tried
and failed. The secret is fresh seed, usually combined with stratification.

I am a retired nurseryman and have access to many trees from which I used to
grow our stock. Our nursery specialised in deciduous trees and there is a
bias towards these species in the Seed List. Many of these trees have seed
that is short-lived and cannot withstand drying out, these are sent
fresh-picked or stratified.

A good range of seed is available now but much of it needs to be sown by
September. Cultural Notes are sent with each species with instructions from
seed treatment and propagation to planting in permanent position.
