Default Climbing Hydrangea 'Petiolaris'

Same here, planted one this time last year and it's still less then 12
inches high, although it's bushing out nicely.

I believe these things are slow to start but I'm getting rather impatient
and thinking of trying something else instead.

Planted late last year on the North wall of our house, not seeming to do
very much. Should go to 50ft, but we realise that it has to establish
itself.

Question. When should we see it start to climb?

Mike for Joan :-)
