I've never measured it, but it seemed the most logical reason why
water hyacinths grew well for a time and turned yellow and died back
into knotty little plants. This year I have yellow parrot feather,
but I have a lot of parrot feather. Instead of adding fertilizer
this year I'm taking out some of the plants.
