WARNING - Those metal hose clamps with a screw that tightens the clamp will rust - I know this from
experience. Do not let these clamps touch your pond water. A better solution would be to adapt the
pump's 1" hose connection to accept PVC pipe.

You can also look for metal hose clamps that are stainless steel with a
stainless steel screw. They're a few cents (dollar) more, but worth it.
