Default Flies That Live in Ant Hills? Go Away!

about 3" in diameter. Anyone know what these are and how to get rid
of them? Looks more like a large fly than a bee.


Just guessing they are Andrenid Bees,or Halictid Bees
aka mining bees. If they are in a lawn, promote the lawn
growth to keep them in check for next year. You can try
keeping the area soaked with water to move them on or
apply a small amount of an insecticide dust at the
entrances of each hole.
