I was always told that Mulberries are not ready to eat till they Fall off
the tree.
Because I grew mine from a seed, the fruit was prolific but quite small,
but it doesn't half have a strong smell when it ripens and then
overripens! It smells sort of 'old wine' like especially after a lot had
dropped into the waterbarrel and the butterflies etc were getting
squiffy drinking the juice on the water that cover the concave dome.
