to show a tall gangling tree in the shade with no figs on.
My conclusion was 'not enough sunlight' as I had seen fig trees
growing in
the grounds which had fruit on.
My fig is in a similar size pot as the one in your photo. It too is a
bit 'thin' and straggly looking. It stands in full sun all day and
does have loads of fruit on it !
(2) The first crop of fruit on my fig tree has stopped increasing in
size
but is not ripening. However the second crop is developing along
with the
new growth at the tips of the branches. I have temporarily stopped
watering
and feeding the fig in the hope that this will encourage it to ripen
the
fruit. Anyone got any ripe figs from an outdoor pot grown Brown
Turkey yet
this year?

I've already had a few ripe figs and it looks as if there will be a
couple more ripe today. I have been watering it a lot and have the pot
standing in a reservoir so that it's kept constantly damp. This is an
experiment as in other years it seems to have dried out to much and
the leaves & fruit dropped of. Seems to be working this year.
I'm a bit worried about the masses of second crop fruit. Will it ripen
in time ???????
With the weather forecast warning of a summer long heatwave they just
might :~)))
