Yes, well water out of the hose holding high above the water ( I am
learning/ air pump thread). Fortunetly I have a higher pond that feed the
lower that drained so the old pond water mingled with the new. Now the water
is worse color than ever.

did you run in ice cold water? I would highly suggest you move that pump
higher into
the top 1/3 of the water column so you dont lose even that much water.
