The papers are full of stories
of people moving to the countryside, for the views and the wildlife and

la
la la, and then suing the farmer for waking them up when trying to milk

his
cows, or making odd smells when cleaning out the pigs, etc etc.

They are?

Which papers do you read?

it sounds like most of you have never really understood the farmers life.
the type that you are talking of are usually people with money and nothing
to. so spend it on buying a farm play with big tractors and other toys, and
thinking that they do own the country side. usually these people have come
from the towns and are used to getting their own was no matter what the
consequences are.
in general the traditional farmer is a polite and courteous farmer, all
farmers I have met are like this. they put in very long hours and don't get
much back from it. what job do you know that you have to be on call 24-7
(mainly live stock farmers) getting up at 4 in the morning and not getting
back to bed until 11 at night and get paid below the minimum wage, some half
of that. because the government insist on following what the Bureaucratic
idiots say in Europe and we have to import food stuff but cannot get UK food
into the shops because we all complain about the price of the stuff when we
do go shopping.
if the public gave the farmer more support with their lives things would
most certainly be better for everyone.
I am not making excuses for the few farmers who do have a problem with
townies, but the townies do move into their area and do try to start a new
little town there. racing around as if the lanes are ace tracks, complaining
about noise and smell. if you don't like it then move back to the towns, you
must have know what it was like before moving there, if not more fool you
for not finding out more about the area when moving.
you don't have the farmer complaining when you have a BBQ on Saturday
afternoon, or an evening party that is keeping his cows up.
