Sounds exotic to me. Never even heard of it. What is the purpose?

Muriate of Potash is a missing element in your water that allows the
plants to utilize the phosphates and nitrates. After a few week the
plants will green up and grow. It is sold in garden centers. Dissolve
2-3 tablespoons in a liter of water adding 1/8 cup/ 100 gallons of
pond water twice a week. After the plants green-up you could cut back
to once. It is ok to substitute Sulfate of Potash. Happy water
gardening.
