Spread lime on ground, dig in. If bought from a garden supplier it
should have instructions with it. Otherwise, just scatter the powder so
that you can still see what's underneath.

For cabbage and most of its family, you can't overlime.

Cauliflowers will be happy with their feet in neat muck though.
