Default kombucha at home: health risk?

In article , miss j

I've been drinking Kombucha for 2 months now. Last week a friend told
me she had heard that kombucha can be a serious risk for your health
when made at home. Is there any information or scientific research
that can inform me about the health risks of the kombucha drink?

Googling for Kombucha toxicity finds some links.

Health risks apparently include

1) aspergillosis, a potentially fatal brain disease, arising from
contamination of kombucha cultures with aspergillus fungi.

2) "a syndrome characterized by hepatotoxicity, pulmonary edema, and
disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) after ingestion"

3) "gastrointestinal toxicity"

4) etc
