That isn't guaranteed to anyone. Most usenet posters access via commercial
ISPs, all of whom would happily make money out of usenet if they could
think how, and who will censor posts and posters that might otherwise prove
expensive to them.

Even Google's usenet archives display advertising. It costs money to
provide information : someone has to pay for it: a lesson that Deja News
learnt too slowly.

If gardenbanter really has someone sitting there reading and moderating
every post from urg by hand, they will either be going bust shortly, or
they are run out of someone's back bedroom, more for fun than profit.

There is nothing wrong or inferior about web-based interfaces. I don't
care for 'em much myself, but some people prefer them.

Same as pink hydrangeas. ;-)
