Default [IBC] J. Maples question

Not really pods but pairs of winged seeds. The seeds may be viable but
are unlikely to come true. If they germinate you may get some plants
that resemble anything from straight A palmatum to A p Crimson Queen.
They may well be weak growers on their own roots, that is why Crimson
Queen is invariably grafted. Of course there's always a small chance
that you could be lucky and produce something worthwhile. It takes a few
years and a good knowledge of what's already available to determine if a
new seedling is worth keeping.

That said, _I_ would still give them a go.

Good luck

Subject: [IBC] J. Maples question

I have a weeping Crimson Queen in the garden. It is producing seed pods.
Question is , Are the seeds viable , and if so what would they likely
produce? Crimson Queen or root stock maple?
