Default Wooly Agelard Question For Hemlock In Boston Area ?

If you buy yourself what's called a Trombone Sprayer you can reach very high
into the tree. It costs about 75 dollars for a good one. Insecticidal soap
works very well on wooly adelgid, particularly on hemlocks. You'd need to do
about three applications, 6 days apart and wait to see what the results were.
This is a good time to do it.

Hello:

Live 25 miles due west of Boston.

Have a massive Hemlock, that an arborist says has some wooly agelard bug
infestations.
Not sure if he's right or not

Anyway, i'm willing to blow a few hundred to have it treated.

My question is:

Is this the best and "right" time of the year to have it sprayed here in the
northeast ?

If so, what with (just leave it to him, or tell him I want the oil spray,
or...what ?) ?

Much thanks,
Bob
