Consecutive Blooming vs. Simultaneous?
All,
This has truly been a strange blooming season for me, and I could bore you
with the details, but just this question:
I have several Catts that normally each open their sheathes simultaneously.
This year, they are blooming consecutively, i.e. a sheath will open, bloom,
almost go by, and then comes another. While that makes for a longer
blooming season for the plant overall, it eliminates the eclat of seeing the
blooms all at once.
Now, I know they are going to do what they please, but is there sometimes a
reason for this type of variation in a formerly reliable simultaneous
bloomer? Something I did, or didn't do? Especially since it's more than
one plant!
