I want to print labels, not plant labels (hence the OT!) but they must be
run proof under slightly damp conditions, Colour laser seems a bit OTT
price
wise, are there specialist cartridges for ink jets that don't run? and
does
anyone know about "Solid ink" printers are they a reasonable compromise?

I've got an Epson Stylus C82. It uses special ink - Durabrite - which is
completely waterproof. Cost about £80 from dabs.com. Print quality is photo
quality and the colours won't fade even in bright sunlight - They say for up
to 75 years. The colours also come in separate cartridges so you don't have
to replace them all at once.
