Default [IBC] tips for mondo grass

Hello all
I got some mondo grass this summer and potted it up in accent

plant pots.
it
has sat on a window sill since then and sat is the operative

word-has not
done
much at all.Doesnt seem to grow and leaf tips turn brown.

What is the
best way
to make this stuff happy?
Thanx
Mark

Mark:
I am curious to see your answers. My experience is that it

needs
moisture almost constantly. I have one four-year old, plant

in a small
flat pot with a tiny ground cover, also, and I keep that pot

from ever
drying out. It is in a shaded area of the green house, plenty

of light but
no hot sun.

Gosh, maybe it needs constant moisture in a pot.

But in MY yard it is a bloomin' pest (but since the blooms are
attractive, it is tolerated). In the hot summer, my French (or
is that still "Liberty?" ;-) Bulldog and our Aunt's Doberman lie
on it because it is cool. They mash out little nests, but it
grows (and blooms, and goes to seed) just fine under them.

I have it lining both sides of my front walk, and since the birds
love the berries it is now appearing in my yard, too. It does do
better in fairly heavy shade. I do NOT (repeat, NOT) water it.

But pots probably are different. Mondo grass puts out a LOT of
root, including runners that can go for 12 feet or more before
another &^%$# plant pops up somewhere.

Anyone who wants some is welcome to come visit. I will supply
the trowel.
