Default Beans over?

The message
from (Steve Harris) contains these words:

My runner and dwarf beans now have no flowers or beans and are looking a
little sad. Id there any point leaving them in case we get a frost-free
October and hence more cropping? Or should I clear them up now?

I don't know about the dwarf beans, but dig up the runners' roots and
cut the stems off, leaving a few inches of each.

Store in a cool place in dry sand or peat over the winter, all in a
plastic sack or bucket. Don't let them freeze.

Plant next year and you'll have a head's start.
