Default cut off switch honda mower

I have a Harmony walk behind mower and it quite running. I checked the

spark
and have none. A repair shop stated that the electronics rarely go bad,

so
she suggested to check the dead man switch. I have located the switch and
it has one wire going from the switch to the electronic parts by the
flywheel. How do you test the switch?

If it's only one wire then it probably works by connecting to the frame when
you want to shut the unit off. If the deadman switch is bad (or it's
mechanical parts) it may always be connecting to the frame.

It also may operate in the reverse... The wire connecting to the frame
always, except when you want to shut down.

Check the deadmans bar (you hold while using the unit) and see if you can
find the switch. Disconnect the wire from the switch and try running the
unit. If no go, try connecting the wire to a bare metal spot on the frame.
If still no go, it isn't he deadmans switch.
