Default Add'l Thoughts on Asian Lady Bugs...

Ladybeetles are attracted to warmth in the fall and are looking to
winter over. We've had them off/on for over 40 years with never a smell ..
.. but maybe the New England variety doesn't. Just vacuum up their shells in
the early summer .. . you can even grind the shells and mix them with
Listerine for a quick garden bug repellant. If you don't turn your heat
(brrrr!) on too early, the LBs won't "find" your house, attic or anything.
Personally, I like the little things and they're terrific for any garden.

We found a herd of them (at least 30) of several tall dandelions
in our central garden...They were acting kinda strange, and not like the
indigenous LB's. Called the county and they said NOT to kill them, that

they
are still very beneficial. Also, they said that you should watch for them

ON
the house and remove them and relocate. One may make an ID error too.
