Default [IBC] companions plants

Now you've all roused my interest.

At a recent club auction I bought a dozen small mame pots that I've been
staring at, trying to figure out what to do with.
I'd like to find some accent candidates for these pots.
They range in size from 1 inch wide X 1/2 inch tall, to 4 inches wide X 1
inch tall.

Any suggestions what I can grow here in Zone 6 in a nice south facing window
?
And where I might get them ?

Thanks

I find that a quick and easy companion planting is taking a pot such as you have
and planting grass seed in it about two weeks before whenever I'm going to use it
for display. The bright green of the new grass is very attractive.
