Default What do you find is the best way to water orchids for the winter?

In general I water more often during winter.
I give some plants a rest because they require it, but my plants in the
windowsill need quit a lot more. That's because of the central heating and
lower air humidity during winter at our place.
They dry up a lot faster during winter here.
the thing is I cant help you, because of two reasons.
1 watering is not an exact science
2 I don't know the circomstances at your place. I would advice a trial and
error apraoch. Just keep in mind it is beter to give too little than to give
too much.

Cheers
Peter

I own cymbidiums, phal and oncidium.

What has your experience with watering practice in the winter been
like?
Do you keep up with the same quantity of watering like you do normally
in the summer but extend the in between watering period for a much
much longer length of time since evaporation is much less in the
colder months???
Or do you cut back on the amount of water and keep the same normal
water schedule you have been doing normally? Or do you do both?

Thanks all for your inputs.
