The message

If it's a badger then it is a very small one with an entrance hole of only
5inches, That's just about rabbit size.

But the smell of urine doesn't sound like wabbits. I'd go for
subterranian decigoats or maybe piskies.

Another thought - is there an anthill nearby? They tend to smell of urine.
