Help!

Does anyone know if cochleanthes are prone to bud blast if shipped in bud,
just like Phals? And if so, is there anything one can do to stop the
process, once it has started? Also, if I have had the plant for 4 days only,
how likely is the bud blast I am observing due to problems in my environment
/ culture, and what would be some things to check for and adjust?
