Ah! But if they did react what method would they then use to kill said
fox/foxes and would it be guaranteed to be always more humane than hunting
with dogs?

They would send a person experienced in the control of rats, mice,
cockroaches, and wasp's nests, who would probably be useless in this case.
He would probably suggest live trapping and then go and release the fox
somewhere else "in the countryside" to cause another the same problem.
