Default How much flourite for 55G tank?

yeah, I've got a 10g that I used the black onyx sand on, and it's great...
looks like it's a professional setup...

but it's EXPENSIVE where I am

I have two tanks. One with Fluorite and Profile as my substrate and the
other with Onyx sand. The one with Onyx sand is doing so much better,

there
is no comparison. My next tank will use Onyx sand or a mix of the two. I
don't have any added CO2 in the tanks.

Red, I used 3 bags in my 40gal long tank.

BTW, I ordered that plant book from Marcus $65.00 sounds like an awesome
price.

I asked several days/weeks ago, doing the same as you, but here's

where
I am
so far, 2 bags won't cover it, 3 might do the job... I'm also mixing

half a
bag of 25lbs small pea gravel with it...

My 37 gallon tank is 24inches by 20ish inches.

It took 3 bags to get 2.5 - 3 inches.

I bought mine from BigAlsOnline.com. With shipping, it was $17.00 a
bag shipped directly to your door. A bit cheaper than the $25.00 to
$28.00 that local dealers sell it for (plus you have to pay tax).
