Default [IBC] Ficus problem

Any ficus or part of a ficus that is dead or dieing will show a shriveled
bark.
The cause is most likely with your soil and watering. It is either too wet
or too dry. Ideally the soil should be allowed to dry moderately before
watering.

I am having a problem with ficus in my house. I've tried both ficus
benjamina and ficus ginseng, buying healthy plants both times. Within weeks
of coming into the house, the truck and branches shrivel like they are
dehydrating and eventually lose all leaves and die. The plants have been
properly watered and were misted on a daily basis.

Other bonsai in the same location, chinese elm and fukien tea, are doing
well with the same treatment. While light levels are not the best, they are
adequate and typical of Ottawa in winter, mean temperature in the house is
68 degrees.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems or have any thoughts on the
matter.
