Here in Holland the flowering of Helleborers is depending on the
kind of
winter. Some winters are to cold and there are just a few late
flowers left.

Sorry, I don't agree with you. We had temperatures of minus 12 last
winter and our hellebores were marvellous. No damage at all and
superb flowering. I did nothing to protect the buds. I think that
is part of the joy of them.
