We live in North london.

There are a number of different Hellebores. Not all are equally hardy.
We have three H niger (Christmas rose) in a small garden in North Yorkshire
which do moderately well, and we never do anything specifically aimed at
protecting them, so I suspect your will be quite OK. I have to add that
they flower quite a bit later than Christmas.
