If you're growing it out, one idea would be to cut the trunk at
the "handlebar" and bring one up for a new leader.

Yes, well, that would work if the complete habit of this tree didn't give
opposite branches everywhere ;-)

I have done a trunk chop, and haven't touched the rest, just letting things
sit a while, marinating in that soup I call my brain.

But have to get back to filling out this application pack for a job :-/
