Guess, excluding the name, that you can't be more inconclusive than that.
Well, they don't seem to suffer much under their sclerenchlyma cell
deterioration, so it doesn't matter too much. Thanks for the summary.

They came to no conclusion, but are still working on it.
The 3 things they mentioned were excessive temperatures, mineral
imbalances,
and viruses. They ignored the temps later in the discussion, stated they
found no viruses but left that option open, and were unable to induce them
with Mn toxicity, which was stated as a "known" problem in some plants.
They are apparently correctly called , by
the way.

Reka,
It's geared towards the hobbyist, with the occasional bit of science
leaking
in - less so than it was several years ago. The MSU fertilizer
article
jumps immediately to mind as an example.
The January issue (it arrived yesterday) had larger articles about
catasetums, ascocenda hybrids, and some science about the spotting in
Sharry
Baby leaves. There are additional "departments" with articles about
large,
specimen-size plants, thrips, exporting orchids, Zootrophion
vulturiceps,
and some others.
And lots of ads, including the one for the upcoming SEPOS show, which
I'll
post at a.b.p.o
Okay, so it's not just Phalaenopsis, but rather all orchid species? And
it
is not only more punctual, but also bigger bang for the buck, huh?
What DID they say about Sharry's blackheads grin?
