Yes. I like my gh set in the ground so the ground level is just
below the top of the "pony rail". I think it gives better heat &
cold control. Of course you have to have a way down to floor
level to get in and out then. Or you have to come out of the
basement and have a way up to floor level, as this will be about
1/2 way between basement and first floor levels.
