Default [IBC] website

I would second what Harry suggested. Open a club account with a reputable
ISP (e.g. AOL, MSN,...) and they will give you some limited space for a
homepage. Use that until is becomes clear that this is something you really
want to do. It will also give you an opportunity to browse around different
sites and see what you like, learn the necessary software, and experiment
before jumping in with both feet and lots of $$$.

I have brought to my club the idea of making a website for it. we are a
small club so costs cannot be too steep. Where do i start?

You can do something as simple as a group on MSN. I have one just for my
far flung family to share pictures and a message board. We have one page
which is contact information. It doesn't cost anything. The quality of your
photography and interest in the subject material will be what you are
showcasing. Start simple, see how many are going to stick with it and see
if it is worth it to start spending money on it.
